Based on the well known STADI P, STOE has developed a new powder diffractometer for high-throughput and combinatorial measurements in transmission geometry. With its newly designed sample stage providing a variable x,y grid for various slide-in sample holders, eg. for up to 96 different samples, the STADI P COMBI offers highest efficiency combined with all the advantages of the STADI P system.
STOE’s linear PSD and IP-PSD
The small linear PSD manufactured by STOE covers a range of 5 to 11° in 2Θ depending on the distance between sample and detector and can be used on all STOE powder diffractometers. It provides diagrams of excellent angular resolution, high statistical accuracy and symmetrical line profiles. The STOE IP-PSD is an on-line system with a readout time of about 15 sec for a full range of 140°. The Imaging Plate technology allows short exposure times to give excellent counting statistics even for weak reflections. The combination of the IP-PSD with STOE´s stages, sample changer or various high- and low-temperature systems is an explicit idea of its use.
DECTRIS MYTHEN 1K
The DECTRIS MYTHEN 1K strip detector has been implemented to the STOE powder diffraction systems. It features a range of 6 to 25° in 2Θ depending on the distance between sample and detector. With its high dynamic range of > 2×105 it is superior to classical X-ray detectors.
MULTI-MYTHEN 2K/3K – IF ONE MYTHEN IS NOT FAST ENOUGH
Ideal for capillary measurements, all STOE furnaces and the INSITU HT2 heating and reaction chamber.
Various sample holders are available for the STOE Stadi P series.
With its family of capillary furnaces STOE provides one of the most precise and temperature stable high temperature attachments for the STADI P series and for synchrotron facilities.
Temperature ranges are from:
The new STOE INSITU HT2 high temperature reaction chamber has been designed to study solid state and solid state – gas reactions in capillaries in a temperature range between RT and 1600˚C on a vertically mounted transmission diffractometer, e.g. the STOE STADI P or STADI MP.
The high temperature chamber consists of a cylindrical double walled, water cooled body with an entrance collimator for the primary beam and an exit window with 90° opening for the diffracted X-rays (covered with Kapton® foil). The heating element consists of a coiled graphite
rod, which is clamped between the lid and base plate and contacted by a thermocouple
directly. To reduce effects of preferred orientation the sample can be oscillated by a motor.
The STOE IN SITU HT2 is fully computer-controlled in the newest WinXPow software version.
